Trump Resigns Over Mandatory Reading Assignments from DOD

Trump After Realizing DOD Doesn't Stand for Dept. of Donald
President-elect, Donald Trump resigned as President Monday, shortly after arriving in Manhattan for a  briefing with the Department of Defense. Details are still coming in, but some say the reason for his resignation has to do with a reading assignment he was given shortly before the holiday break.

Mr. Trump was on his way to meeting with the DOD in the wee hours Monday morning when advised by his advisor that he would be required to answer questions relating to the information provided in the top secret briefing memos.

Not one to shirk his responsibilities, the Donald fired off a tweet that said "I know everything. I don't need a briefing to know everything, but I'll go."

About two minutes into the briefing, Trump came out of the room appearing confused and nonplussed. He agreed to a short 20-second press briefing.

"I kept getting these e-mails from the DOD and I wondered, 'why are they calling it DOD?' Then it dawned on me, they must be talking about Department of Donald, and well, I already know what I know so why should I read something that I know I know? But I decided, ok, I'll go just in case there is something they might not know, and need me to clear things up for them."

"Besides," he said, "they always serve the best croissants at these breakfast meetings."

After the Donald spoke, a reporter whispered to Dennis Rodman, who was standing beside Trump waving a N. Korean flag, and Dennis whispered to Trump.

Seemingly unfazed, Trump then announced, "Well folks, it appears DOD stands for Department of Defense. Who knew? You coulda knocked me over with a comb. But that's ok, I'll just resign."

Turning to no one in particular, he added "I can do that can't I? I mean, I don't have to be President if I don't want to do I?"

While the question seemed rhetorical and just a tad elementary, a reporter from NPR, who had been hiding in the back of the briefing room the whole time in order to escape detection by the President-elect, spoke up.

"No, Mr. Almost President, you don't."

Song Parody - IF I ONLY HAD SOME HEIGHT

Here it is folks, the video you've all been waiting to see, not in technicolor, but as it was meant to be seen...in North Korean Black and White. So get a tub of popcorn, or some k-rations and gather the family around the computer for about a minute of fun (hey, what do you want? It took me a day and a half just to get this short film done).

Oh, and one more thing...watch your back Weird Al - I'm a gunnin' for you.
Click the link below:

If I just had me some stature,
my ego wouldn't fracture
I wouldn't be so rude.

I would be a nicer guy and say
Heck I don't hate the USA
I'd be a gnarly dude.

I wouldn't need no help
To reach the upper shelf
I'd get things on my own

And I wouldn't need a ladder
just to empty my bladder
if my legs had only grown.

If I were a bigger guy
I'd be tall enough to maybe touch the sky
I wouldn't have to try to sit up straight
That's if my height was six foot eight.

If I grew in adolescence
or even pre-pubescence,
I'd be so outta sight

I could look  you in the eye
Cause I'd be a taller guy

If I only had some height.

Watch this Space for Something Completely Different

I am working on a brand new way to entertain my readers. So, keep your eye on this space, for soon enough, you'll be entertained...I guarantee. And you may just be calling me the next female Weird Al Yankovic, only I'd probably keep my name, but I might consider using the Weird part cause this will definitely fit in that category.

So, as soon as I figure out how to pull this off, I'll get it on here for all to see.

Stay tuned.

Mud Boggin' and BBQ Cook-off at Bundy Ranch to Draw More Militia

BUNKERVILLE, NV - Contrary to news reports from several mainstream media outlets that the stand-off at the Cliven Bundy ranch was devolving into a free-for all, the mood at the ranch Friday was anything but tense, as the various militia groups were getting ready for a weekend filled with all kind of redneck sports, including mud boggin', outhouse runs, bbq cook-offs, and various other festivities centered around the large mud bog Bundy has created for his defenders.

Federal officials today announced that the promise of these various redneck sports and cooking competitions at the embattled ranch in Bunkerville, Nevada could, in their words "bring more crazies out in the open."

Bureau of Land Management (BLM) director, Neil Kornze, today stated that he couldn't be more pleased.

"We have to take credit for this ingenious idea," said Kornze, who claims the BLM came up with the idea as a means to get as many fringe elements in one place at one time in order to tag them and keep track of their future movements.

"We figure, the more fringe elements we can gather at one place, at one time, all with guns drawn at each other, can only be a good thing. Just like rounding up a pod of dolphins for tagging, we can have those ruffians tagged and sent on their way with tracking devices implanted in their rear ends, so that the next time they draw from the hip, we'll know about it."

Meanwhile, members of the Oath Keepers are having serious problems with the Three Percenters over who gets to go first in the mud boggin' competition.

Steve McCurdle, ipso facto leader of the Oath Keepers--Bunkerville Battalion, claims that the OK'ers won the coin toss fair and square, but accused the Three Percenters of pulling rank on them, seeing as they were first on the scene when the BLM first converged on the Bundy ranch and demanded the owner, Cliven Bundy keep his cattle off adjacent federal grazing lands and pay the government millions in back taxes.

"One thing is for sure," said McCurdle, "we're gonna smoke them in the BBQ cook-off, which McCurdle says will consist of only one competition--barbecued beef brisket, which, at the moment is in great supply due to the number of heads of cattle presently being fenced in at the ranch.

McCurdle also commented on the reports that should a shoot out with feds occur, the militiamen would consider putting women on the front lines to show the world that the government is willing to shoot innocent women.

"Heck no, the reporters got that all wrong," said McCurdle.

"We actually told reporters to show up Friday round noon for the girl-on-girl mud wrestlin' matches we had planned for the day. If you knew us militiamen, you'd know we'd never take advantage of our women by putting them in harm's way. They are way too important to us."

In related news, reporters covering the debacle at the Cliven Bundy ranch are having a hard time deciding on which great gunfight to liken it to.

On the one hand, they claim that Gunfight at the OK (Oath Keepers) Corral pretty much describes the mood at the ranch at the present moment, with members of several militia drawing their guns on each other and daring the others to shoot.

However, someone suggested naming the standoff Bunker Ville, after the famous battle at Bunker Hill during the Revolutionary War, due to the growth of militiamen converging on the ranch to take part in the action.

"Firepower is what is going to finally sort this out," said Dave Preston of the Las Vegas Sun News.

"Neither of those battles had the kind of firepower we are seeing at the Bundy compound, i.e. automatic rifles, glocks, missile launchers, and even the mention of armed drones, but the message is loud and clear, "Don't tread on our rights, or ours, or ours, or even ours, depending on which militia group you're talking to."

Rich Hoarder Found in Filthy Home Amid Piles of Money

City workers with the local Health Department in Dallas, Texas, were called to the 1300 Block of Throckmorton Street on a tip from an anonymous caller who suspected her neighbor of being a hoarder.

Upon arriving at the location, the task force found one Thurston R. Minedigger III, sitting amid piles and piles of wet moldy money. The home smelled strongly of human feces and un-rinsed jars of caviar, but the most striking difference between Minedigger's home and that of a normal hoarder is the amount of money stacked throughout the home.

"There were piles and piles of thousand dollar bills stacked from floor to ceiling," said Monica Norwalk, a City worker whose job it is to check out complaints received by the Health Department.

"I don't think I've ever seen anything like this before in my life. And, if you have never smelled that much money in one place, let me tell you, it is not a pleasant smell.

I cannot imagine what it would be like having to work around money all day long," she said.

When workers tried to take Minedigger from his home so that they could clean it up, he became irate.

"You city workers are going to steal from me, aren't you?" he shouted at them.

"I know what you make, and I know that if I left you alone in this apartment for only a few seconds, the place would be picked clean in no time."

The workers tried to convince Mr. Minedigger that they were only there to protect him from himself; however, Mr. Minedigger was convinced that the poor were eventually going to take all his money and he had to protect every single dime.

A television in the corner of the room was tuned to Fox News, and ironically, Fox News Host Stuart Varney was discussing how much more the rich are having to pay in taxes and how it is going to federal aid programs for the poor.

Minedigger's eyes seemed to glaze over when the workers tried to pry the thousands of dollars from his hands in order to restrain him and take him from the home.

"My grandfather, Thurston Minedigger, worked his ass off for this money. Take your hands off me you ruffians," he shouted. "Where is my lawyer?"

A voice from under a pile of money near the dining area answered "Here, sir, I'm right here," as he stuffed piles of money in his pocket and tried to make his way to the front door.

Once Mr. Minedigger was restrained and ready to be escorted from the home, a social worker tried to talk to him about his options.

"We have a camera crew waiting just outside the door, Mr. Minedigger, and it is our obligation to let you know that this scene will be filmed and aired on national television on the A&E Channel next season. You could make anywhere in the neighborhood of $10 to $15 thousand dollars for your story."

Mr. Minedigger seemed to calm down upon hearing this and agreed to allow the crew in to film his segment of the Hoarders television show. The name of the segment is being tentatively called "Dirty, Filthy Money."

Once he was in the custody of the social workers, the A&E Crew moved in to the penthouse to start filming the clean up.

City workers estimate the amount of money found in Minedigger's penthouse ranges anywhere from a couple thousand to a few million, depending on whom you ask once the crews finished cleaning up.

Minedigger's attorney refused to be interviewed on or off camera.

New Ted Cruz Book Uses Dr. Seuss as Inspiration

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has announced a new book deal with HarperCollins that will purportedly earn him well into the six figures. The particulars of the book deal have yet to be announced, but insiders say it will most likely capitalize on Cruz' ability to nail the Dr. Seuss writing format, i.e. rhyming his words and repeating them ad nauseam. A title has been tentatively chosen: How Much Filibuster Can U Muster?

A spokesperson for Sen. Cruz, when reached for comment, had this to say:

"Ted Cruz has always been a great fan of Theodor Seuss Geisel, aka Ted, or more popularly known as
Dr. Seuss, and as such, he would like to remember the great Dr. Seuss by honoring him in his first non-coloring book venture out into the literary world."

Another reason Cruz has supposedly chosen this style of writing is because he "knows his audience," said the spokesperson.

"Sen. Cruz is well aware that the majority of his constituents from Texas are products of a sub-par state educational system that has devolved over the past decade or so under leaders such as Governor Rick Perry. As such, they may be able to read at only a second or third grade level at best," said Dolly DeLearned, Cruz's assistant who has been instrumental in getting Cruz to sign the book deal.

Ms. DeLearned was quick to point out that her last statement in no way diminished the greater good Gov. Rick Perry has done for Texas, including a push for expansion of the open-carry gun laws in the state, and making sure that Obamacare did not reach it's ugly hand into the state laws of Texas by forcing Perry to expand the state Medicaid program.

Sen. Cruz' first book, Cruz to the Future, was published in a coloring book format for exactly this reason, i.e. to reach as many of his adult constituents as he can without making them think too hard.

Asked for a reading from Cruz' upcoming book, Ms. DeLearned stated that although the Senator from Texas has yet to fully formulate his thoughts into text, she did read us a smidgeon from a cocktail napkin on which Cruz scribbled the following in crayon:

I do not like Obamacare,
I do not like it here nor there
I would not want it in my house
to cover me, my kids, or spouse,
I do not like Obamacare
something, something, anywhere.

It was pretty evident from that small bit of writing that Cruz may be on to something. If he can get six figures by ripping off one of the greatest children's book authors of all times, just think what he could do if he actually sat down and read half the bills introduced by both parties of the Senate.

Ms. DeLearned says Sen. Cruz will also devote a whole section of the book to Mitch McConnell, if he can find enough words to rhyme with the latter Senator's name.

Jon Stewart Leaves the Daily Show, Starts JON Channel

The Daily Show is one man poorer this morning with the announcement that Jon Stewart is now rich enough to own himself and is quitting Comedy Central and the Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

Following in the footsteps of Oprah Winfrey with her development of her OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) cable television network, Stewart has decided to start the JON (Jon's Own Network) cable television network, which should be up and operational by the end of April.

A spokesperson for HBO, owners of Comedy Central, where Jon Stewart has honed his craft as the top parody news show host on cable for the past 15 years, claims this move wasn't really a shock for anyone.

"Jon has been talking about going solo, or should I say, bigger, for about a year or so now," said Sheldon Finkelstein, programming director at Comedy Central and shareholder in the new JON venture.

Although Stewart's net worth, hovering around the $80 million mark, is nowhere near Oprah Winfrey's estimated $2.9 billion net worth, Stewart claims at the rate he was going, he would have had to be 147 years old to do anything on the grand scale of Oprah's network.

That is why he is starting small.

"I'm taking Colbert with me," said Stewart, speaking of course about Stephen Colbert, the other side of the hilarious Coin 'o Comedy, as he sometimes refers to Colbert and himself.

"Do I want Colbert on my team?" asked Jon. "Well, let me put it this way," he answered his own question with the now-famous quote by Mario Puzo, i.e. "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer."

Because Comedy Central owns the rights to Stewart's name outright, and he can't buy his name back with the paltry amount he has in the bank, Stewart plans on changing his name to simply JON.

"It's a gamble," said the multi-talented comedian, writer, actor, and now owner of himself, "but in the long run, it's something I felt compelled to try."

Jon went on to say that he and Colbert had been planning this for quite some time, and with their combined net worth, they think they have a real shot at giving Comedy Central a run for its money.

"In the end," said Stewart, "it's not about making people laugh so much as it is a matter of pride.

Obnoxious Ducks Find a Home

“Hurry up, Mildred,” quacked Frank the duck impatiently at his mate.

“Oh good Lord, Frank. Tell me we aren’t moving again,” Mildred quacked back.

“I’m afraid so, featherkins. Seems the leader of this duck pack just happens to be a Canadian goose who has a bubble up his butt about us snapping up all the food as the walkers pass by before he’s able to get to it. Seems I’m still the fastest pecker in the bunch,” said Frank with a smirk.

“I’ll vouch for that,” Mildred said slyly, as she smoothed her feathers and followed Frank down the walkway to their next destination—the fifth one this year.

“Where are we going now Frank?” asked Mildred. “We’ve worn out our welcome in just about every place here.”

“Don’t worry, Mildred. I’ve been scouting around, and I found a wonderful joint not a couple hundred feet from here. If we waddle fast enough, we’ll get there just in time to catch the seeds from the feeder the birds left behind this morning.”

It was our house they were eyeing like a pack full of crackers.  And by all accounts, we weren’t going to get rid of them easily.

“Frank,” said Mildred, “I’m not so sure about this place…they have cats.”

“Oh yeah, the cats,” he replied. “Don’t worry Mildred. They must be at least a hundred years old and they don’t seem to be interested in chasing ducks.”

Frank was referring to our cats who, on occasion, might go after a mole cricket or a lizard, but anything bigger than their paw and they were no longer interested. We fed them well and, well, that meant they weren’t gonna attack any ducks who might want a quick meal at the bird feeder.

Frank told Mildred, “Oh and you’ll love this, lovey…the male human actually feeds opossums from his glass siding door. I decided to do a night reconnaissance a couple of nights ago and saw him putting out some leftover cat food for the critters. He’s even given them nicknames.”

Mildred told Frank “That is about the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. We ducks never travel at night.”

Frank replied, “How do you think I find our next spots dear? I travel at night. I have to. If you haven’t noticed lately, we seem to be kicked out of every place we find. I think it is our personal hygiene.”

“Ahem,” replied Mildred. “Your hygiene you mean. You can’t eat three cracker crumbs without crapping all over the place. You have issues Frank, and they are ruining our lives.”

“Never mind Mildred,” said Frank. “I’ve found us the greatest place this time and I think we won’t ever have to move again.”

At first, for us, it was a novelty having our own pair of ducks showing up every day eating the birds’ leftovers and sunning themselves on our back porch, but the ducky doo doo began to pile up and before we knew it, we realized that ducks aren’t that cute…they’re more a nuisance and it was time to get rid of them.

The first time we clapped our hands and shooed them away, it took but a mere 5 minutes and they were back on our porch preening themselves under the bird feeder. My husband’s next course of action was to take some bread down the walkway a ways, dump it on the side and run like hell…thinking the ducks weren’t smart enough to realize that now they not only had a place to eat, but once in a while, we provided a lovely picnic in a totally different venue.

It was I, finally, who put a stop to the ducks dining on our patio. My solution was really more an act of desperation than anything else. I tried the picnic first, taking them further away from our home, but they had somehow managed to eat their meal of white bread crumbs and make it back to my house before I did. So, I did what I do to every critter who tries to take up residence in our yard. I got the hose.

Yeah, I know what you are thinking. Bright idea Einstein. Ducks sure are gonna hate water, ha ha. Well, come to find out, ducks love to swim in water, but they hate having it sprayed at them through a power nozzle. They were gone in a jiffy, quacking and clacking back and forth and I can imagine their conversation.

“Thanks a lot Frank,” said Mildred.

“What did I do this time? I was just scooping up the birdie seeds like you were,” quacked Frank indignantly.

“Oh yea? Well, maybe you didn’t notice that after Ms. Opossum lover turned the hose on us, she then turned it back on her porch to spray off the large mass of ducky doo doo you left in the corner.”

“Oh that,” he said. “Yes, I must admit, they have been feeding us rather well lately.”

They waddled away to their new destination, which Frank had found just that morning on his early reconnaissance mission.

“We going back to the flock?” asked Mildred.

“No honey. I’ve found an even better place. Her name is Ms. McNulty and she lives a few doors down from the couple who drove us out. Not only is she hard of hearing, she actually is so near-sighted that when I showed up at her door, she smiled, said “here kitty, kitty” and threw some dry cat food at me…the seafood flavor we love.”

“Oh Frank,” said Mildred as she waddled a few steps behind Frank, “You always take such good care of us,” and the two ducks waddled toward Ms. McNulty who was yelling “here kitty, kitty,” while stepping in a fresh puddle of Frank’s abundant calling card.

Meanwhile, I was patting myself on the back for coming up with such an unbelievable but workable scheme to get rid of the ducks. All day, while my husband was at work, the ducks stayed away. I had found the perfect solution.

That night, my husband came home.

“Looks like you didn’t get rid of the ducks,” he said as he looked out at the back porch that I hadn’t checked in some time.”

“What do you mean?” I said.  “Those ducks were gone all day. I did get rid of them.”

I went to get the hose and Frank yelled to Mildred to hit the deck.

“Honey, we’re gonna have to ride this one out just for a little while until Ms. McNulty’s son leaves. It was just their luck that they had found a woman whose son made a habit of visiting his mom every Mother’s Day to take care of her garden and make sure no varmints were lurking about.

This time the ducks hunkered down and I gave up. “Let them stay,” I said. “At least bird seed is a helluva lot cheaper than canned cat food you feed the opossum you call Dude.”

But that evening, just after dawn, the ducks were gone and the opossum named Grandpa was just stopping by to enjoy a savory meal of cubed chicken in gravy, a can of food that cost me $.65 at the store.

“That’s ok,” I rationalized. “Better Dude and Grandpa eat it than it gets thrown out in the garbage, as the cats are only partial to the dry seafood flavored food,” and, I thought to myself, “they don’t leave behind soggy doo doo, at least, I haven’t seen any yet.”

Could John Lennon Have Foreseen Paul Ryan While Writing Nowhere Man?

Folks just can’t stop talking about Paul Ryan’s speech last night, which, according to many, was riddled with inaccuracies and outright lies. One person, who studies prophetical writings, claims she may be able to clarify where Ryan was coming from when he told such whoppers as:

President Obama was responsible for shutting down a GM plan in Janesville, when it was actually shut down on George Bush’s watch.

President Obama caused the downgrade of the US credit rating when, in fact, it was the Republicans who refused to budge on raising the debt ceiling until the 11th hour that forced the hand of Standard & Poor’s to take the unprecedented step of taking away our AAA rating.

President Obama took $716 billion dollars from the Medicare plan when, in fact, what he did was reform the way providers and hospitals are paid so as to actually put more money into the Medicare system, a plan which Ryan himself endorses.

Mary Windwalker, a Native American scholar from Eastern New Mexico University at Roswell says that she has found evidence that inextricably weaves Paul Ryan’s persona into that of the Nowhere Man character portrayed in John Lennon’s song of the same title.

“When you have someone from Fox News calling Ryan’s speech (or Ryan himself possibly) dazzling, deceiving and distracting, and then go back and look over the lyrics of John Lennon’s song, there is a strong possibility that John Lennon was a modern-day prophet who foresaw someone like Ryan actually entering the world stage at some time in the future, leading him to pen Nowhere Man," said Windwalker.

Asked if Lennon’s lyrics are more suited toward Mitt Romney and not Ryan, Windwalker replied “You certainly have a valid point there; however, what sets Romney and Ryan apart is the fact that Ryan actually does have a plan, which fits perfectly into the last line of Nowhere Man, which reads ‘Making all his nowhere plans for nobody.’”

Windwalker added, “I find it even more convincing when you consider the fact that Lennon sang the last refrain three times.”
